My journey ends here. :(
Time flies, one week plus and EIR is ending, which means that this blog will be inactive/dead after tomorrow.
So here's my last post. :)
As what Ms Faridah told us, we need to use a metaphor to end this. So here's my metaphor about my EIR journey.
It's a CAMPFIRE.
Why campfire?
A campfire is basically just firewood burning. But what is so special about it? To start the campfire, of course you need to ignite it. This is just like the first day of EIR, when Ms Faridah taught us the first lesson, introduction to EIR.
At first i really had no idea what EIR is, in fact, i really didn't know we were taking another cds, it's just me, my laptop and the awesome notes.
Just like a campfire at start, the firewood, the lighter and the kerosene.
Before you can actually start the fire, you will need to build the structure for the campfire. Without the structure, the campfire wouldn't really go on. By putting all three things together in a pile wouldn't work. So someone will build the structure to get things start. Just like in EIR, Ms Faridah started this CDS by introducing this CDS to us letting us know more about this before we move on to any other things.
After completing the structure, you will need to pour kerosene over the firewood and light it up. At the starting of the campfire, the fire will be small. Just like in EIR. After we roughly understood what this CDS is about, we went on to google. And doing research. But we do not know how to type the search query so we will just type in what we are really looking for.
To get the fire going on, we will need to throw in bags of kerosene. After throwing in the kerosene the fire will become bigger. How do i relate this in EIR? So each bag of kerosene represents each lecture Ms Faridah taught. We will become more knowledgeable after each lecture. As long as you keep adding the kerosene, and firewood, the campfire will be able to go on for a period of time.
However a campfire have to cease fire. This is when it will be the last day of EIR. This means that we cant learn anymore new methods of research.
BUT even though this CDS has come to an end, the skills that i learnt here will be with me till i decide not to do anymore research. Overall, i find this CDS a very useful CDS to me. As I will be using the skills i've learn doing work, be it school work or office work.
